Our Story

From Systems Admin to Full-Stack DevSecOps

Kammerdiener Technologies was founded in 2018 by Nicolas Kammerdiener, a DevOps and Platform Engineer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Nicolas built the company around a conviction he formed across more than a decade of hands-on infrastructure work: the best technology solutions come from understanding every layer of the stack, from bare-metal hardware up through cloud-native applications.

Nicolas's journey began in an unexpected place — a private school, where he served as Systems Administrator. Managing networks, securing student data, and keeping systems running taught a foundational lesson: anticipate problems before they become disruptions. That early experience revealed what reliable technology actually requires: ownership, attention, and genuine accountability.

From bare-metal systems administration, Nicolas moved through virtualization and into cloud infrastructure — gaining a rare, ground-up understanding of how compute, storage, and networking actually work beneath the abstractions most engineers take for granted. That depth informs how he approaches every engagement: understand the system completely before touching it, and fix the right problem, not just the visible symptom.

This background drove a move into DevOps, where automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration transformed chaotic deployments into smooth, predictable processes. Adding security completed the picture — and Kammerdiener Technologies was built to offer clients exactly what Nicolas spent years developing: a full-stack DevSecOps perspective with no blind spots between disciplines.
